Photographing the Paley Honors Gala Tribute to Hasbro’s Centennial
As I set up my photography gear at the red carpet, I couldn’t help but admire the grandeur of Cipriani 42nd Street, an ideal setting to celebrate Hasbro's centennial.
As attendees began to stroll down the red carpet, my lens was graced by industry legends. Kirk McDonald, CEO of GroupM NA, was among the first. His demeanor made it clear why he’s a pillar in the media world.
Soon after, Frances Berwick, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment, took her turn on the carpet. Capturing her felt like capturing a snapshot of entertainment history.
Frank A. Bennack Jr., a titan of media and Executive Vice Chairman and former CEO of Hearst, was up next. As someone who has left an indelible mark on media, his image felt like an integral piece to this event’s mosaic.
Sade Baderinwa, Anchor of WABC-TV Eyewitness News, was a refreshing presence, embodying the face of news media for a generation.
A singular moment of the night was capturing a special group shot featuring Chris Cocks, CEO of Hasbro, and Maureen Reidy, President & CEO of The Paley Center for Media, together with iconic Hasbro characters Peppa Pig, Mr. Potato Head, Ashiok, and the Red Power Ranger. This wasn’t just a photo; it was the convergence of entertainment history and industry leadership in one frame.
Reflecting on the evening, each photo felt like a brushstroke in a larger painting that tells the vibrant story of an industry fueled by imagination and innovation.
